  • New Animal, a multimedia work created in collaboration with and specifically for The 605 Collective, is suffused with unbridled energy, groove, playful interaction and a hunger for movement. On stage, the choreography fully exploits the supreme versatility of the five dancers, who reclaim their animal bodies as a means of becoming more fully human. New Animal engages with the push and pull of the group dynamic, while still recognizing its interdependence. This piece is both joyful and intimate, walking a tightrope between the fleeting moment of control and a radical shift in dynamics. New Animal features an eclectic soundtrack assembled and manipulated by Roger Tellier-Craig, as well as film éléments by Dana Gingras and Yannick Grandmont, and lighting design by Robert Sondergaard.
