Companies / Sasha Ivanochko (chorégraphe indépendante)

Company Presentation

Love, guts, brain and brawn. Sasha Ivanochko's body of work is fearless, emotional and distinct for it's candid articulation of sexual themes, exposed performance values and intimate virtuosity. Featuring solos, duets and small ensembles, the works acts as microcosmic lenses for universal relational complexities and socio-political themes. An independent choreographer since the 1998, Ivanochko has also created several large groups work for post-secondary dance institutions, youth based companies, Toronto Dance Theatre and Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers. Ivanochko founded blackandblue dance projects in 2005 to support the dissemination of her repertoire and the artistic questioning and development of emerging artists through mentorship, consultation and commissions.
