Integrated dance is an open proposition to difference; it promotes the meeting between handicapped and non-handicapped dancers. A pioneer of Integrated Dance in Quebec, Corpuscule Danse - founded in 2000 by quadriplegic dancer France Geoffroy - promotes the discipline via two distinct fields: performance and education.
Corpuscule Danse commissions pieces with contemporary choreographers from around here and from outside the province. Our productions have been presented in Montreal, the province of Quebec, Canada and the USA. In 2014, France Geoffroy co-created a solo entitled Jamais seule (Never alone) with Sophie Michaud and LEMM.
The Company gives adapted classes to children 7 to 12 years old, with physical and mental handicaps, as well as to handicapped and non-handicapped adults. France Geoffroy also gives conferences about her personal story and about Integrated dance.
