Off the beaten path and bordering on installation, choreography and performance, Aurélie Pedron’s creations waive performing arts codes and invite us to consider reality otherwise. In 2013, Aurélie Pedron’s artistic quest was honed with the founding of Lilith & Cie, a company devoted to the research, creation and dissemination of works that blur boundaries between artistic disciplines in a spirit of integrity and openness. From one process to the next, she renews encounters, playing with temporality and establishing intimacy between site, artist and audience. She was awarded the DISCOVERY prize by the Prix de la danse de Montréal in 2015. Alongside these works, through her social and inclusive values, the choreographer collaborates with youths either marginalized or self-identifying as marginalized.
