  • A new creation, marking the 30th anniversary of La La La Human Steps, where ballet technique, rushed, precise, is at the service of a narrative deconstructed from two iconic operas. Feverishly paced gestural language, dealing with two tragic love stories: Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, and Orpheus and Eurydice by Gluck. Two works separated by composer, era and theme weave a story about the shadow, the ending of love rather than its romantic phase. Complex dance timed to micro moments uniting two operas into one seamless ode awash in a Gavin Bryars score for piano, violin, cello, and saxophone performed live by a quartet.
