Cas Public has been known to fascinate, influence and captivate young audiences. Hélène Blackburn and long-time associate Pierre Lecours demonstrate this magic once more with Gold, a lively quintet for children ages four and up. In this sixth instalment of their youth series, the company revisits one of the greatest compositions of classical music, Bach’s Goldberg Variations, as played by Glenn Gould. Much like the musical composition, with its famed passages, harmonies, rhythms and technical refinements, the company’s dancers will present a powerful performance imbued with poetry and trompe-œil effects.
Known for radically transforming the daily objects that children know too well and for having a playful approach, Cas Public literally turns the stage into a true theatre space, upon which reality clashes with illusion, creating a game of hide-and-seek that will enchant children and parents alike.
