He’s a musician, she’s a dancer. He’s inspired by experimental, folk and jazz, while she combines gigue, ballet and contemporary dance to create her distinctive breed of movement. Together they are Les Bordéliques, an interdisciplinary duo with an eclectic touch, creating vivid performances for a wide range of audiences.
At the heart of their work is the desire to tell stories through dance and music as directly as they could be told through words. By combining narrative and clown-inspired theatre, Les Bordéliques weave movement, melody and rhythm into an imaginative mix, bringing colourful characters and tales of whimsy to life.
The winners of 2013 Grands Prix Desjardins de la culture (Jeune public Award), Les Bordéliques presented their work at Tangente as well as in many arts festivals in Québec.Through workshops and other cultural activities, they have also initiated 3000 adults and children to dancing.
