Who can become a member?

Corporative member — Presenter
To become a Corporate member - Presenter, you must be
recognized by a government body as a presenter, be based in Québec, and be
interested in promoting dance across the regions of Québec. You must also:
- Fill out the form including
your reasons for wanting to become a member, and pay the annual membership
fee of $100 (plus taxes).
- Provide proof of membership to a recognized network of
presenters, or if you’re a specialized presenter, proof of membership to a
recognized disciplinary body.
- Provide the Board of Director’s resolution naming a

The proof of membership for 2012-2013 must be received by September
15, 2012 in order to be in good standing at the annual general meeting
on September 24, 2012.
Privileges
- Your representative has the right to vote during the DSR
annual general meeting and can be elected to the DSR Board of Directors.
- Access to networking activities, various resources and
publications.
- Enjoy a preferential rate when you sign up for Parcours
Danse and other DSR activities.

Corporative member — Dance company
To become a Corporate member - Dance company, you must be a
corporate body, be legally recognized as a non-profit organization, have a head
office located in the province of Québec, and be interested in promoting dance
across the regions of Québec. You must also:
- Fill out the form including
your reasons for wanting to become a member, and pay the annual membership
fee of $50 (plus taxes).
- Provide proof of membership to Regroupement québécois
de la danse (RQD), in the Corporate - Company category.
- Provide a written document proving that you have
produced and professionally presented at least one dance show lasting at
least 50 minutes. Also, remunerated professional artists must have performed
the choreographed works in question.
- Provide the Board of Director’s resolution naming a

The proof of membership for 2012-2013 must be received by September
15, 2012 in order to be in good standing at the annual general meeting
on September 24, 2012.

To become a Corporate member - Associate, you must be
recognized by a government body as a network of presenters, a presenting
organization, an artistic association or a professional dance company. Your
head office may be located in Québec or outside of Québec, but you must be
interested in promoting dance across the regions of Québec. You must also:
- Fill out the form including
your reasons for wanting to become a member, and pay the annual membership
fee of $100 (plus taxes).
- Provide proof of membership to a recognized
professional association, or if you’re an artistic association or any other
type of dance organization in Québec, proof of membership to Regroupement
québécois de la danse (RQD).
- Provide the Board of Director’s resolution naming a

To become an Individual member - Independent choreographer,
you must be a resident of Québec and be interested in promoting dance across
the regions of Québec. You must also:

your reasons for wanting to become a member, and pay the annual membership
fee of $50 (plus taxes).
- Provide proof of membership to Regroupement québécois
de la danse (RQD), in the Individual Professional Member - Choreographer
category.
- Provide a written document proving that you have
produced and professionally presented at least one dance show lasting at
least 50 minutes. Also, remunerated professional artists must have performed
the choreographed works in question.
The proof of membership for 2012-2013 must be received by September
15, 2012 in order to be in good standing at the annual general meeting
on September 24, 2012.

To become an Individual member - Trainee, you must be a
resident of Québec and be interested in promoting dance across the regions of
Québec. You must also:

your reasons for wanting to become a member, and pay the annual membership
fee of $25 (plus taxes).
- Provide proof of membership to Regroupement québécois
de la danse (RQD), in the Associate Member - Choreographer category.
- Provide a written document proving that you have
produced and professionally presented at least one dance show. Also,
remunerated professional artists must have performed the choreographed works
in question.
The proof of membership for 2012-2013 must be received by September
15, 2012 in order to be in good standing at the annual general meeting
on September 24, 2012.
Privileges
- Eligibility to submit proposals for special projects,
including Jouer Dehors and Les Belles Échappées for Parcours Danse, without
extra charge.
- Access to networking activities, various resources and
publications.
- Enjoy a preferential rate when you sign up for Parcours
Danse, Répertoire Danse and other DSR activities.
